Know before you book
- Groups are capped at twelve, because that is what the smallest courtyard holds. These are our own walks with our own guide, so the places really are counted.
- We meet at the railing around the Roman ruins on Michaelerplatz, 1010 Vienna. The guide holds a small claret sign.
- The price includes the licensed night-specialist guide, entry to both courtyards and the first glass at the wine bar.
- Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 19:00. Two hours.
- December evenings run between −2 and +3 °C at 19:00. Dress for it; gloves beat elegance.
Questions guests ask
What is included in the €29?
The licensed night-specialist guide, entry to both private courtyards, and your first glass at the wine bar at the end. Our booking fee is €0.00.
Why is the group capped at twelve?
Because that is what the smallest of the two courtyards holds. It is not a scarcity tactic — it is the size of a room, and it never changes.
Where do we meet?
At the railing around the Roman ruins on Michaelerplatz, 1010 Vienna. The guide holds a small claret sign, and your ticket carries a map pin and a photograph of the exact spot.
Who leads the walk?
One of our own guides — licensed by the city, salaried by us, and not working for tips alone. The same people lead the free walk and the specials.
Do walks run in bad weather?
Yes, in anything short of a storm warning. If we do cancel you hear by 08:00 with a link to rebook — at breakfast, not at the meeting point.
Do children pay?
Under-12s walk free on every tour, including the paid specials. They still take one of the places, so reserve for them too.
Can I bring a stroller?
On the daily walk, yes — the whole route manages one. On the specials, ask us first: the courtyards and cellars have steps and small doors.
What does it cost to book?
Our booking fee is €0.00, and we print it on your order at €0.00 rather than leaving it out.
Can I change the date?
Yes, free, up to 48 hours before the walk. The exact deadline is printed on your order line.
