Mozart as his own audiences saw him

The Wiener Mozart Konzert has played Vienna every season since 1986, founded by musicians of the city’s leading orchestras and chamber ensembles. Thirty musicians, a conductor, a soprano and a baritone — 33 artists — perform in historical costumes and wigs, in the orchestration Mozart himself wrote for.

The evening moves through Mozart’s most famous symphonies, concertos and opera arias and closes in Viennese tradition with the Blue Danube and the Radetzky March. The ensemble compiles each programme itself, so single works change from night to night.

Questions guests ask

Answered by the Vienna Evening counter.
  • What is included in the price?

Everything. The price shown is the price charged: our booking fee is €0.00 and we print it on your order at €0.00 rather than leaving it out.

  • When is my ticket issued?

At checkout. Your QR code, wallet pass and PDF exist the moment your card is charged.

  • Which room is my concert in?

Each date says so before you book — the Musikverein, the Hofburg or the Wiener Staatsoper — and your ticket repeats it.

  • Can I change the date?

Yes, free, until 48 hours before, for the same category, up to twice. If the new date costs more you pay the difference; if it costs less, your original price stands.

  • Until when can I cancel?

Fourteen days from purchase, and never inside 48 hours of the concert — whichever comes first. The exact date is printed on your order line.

  • Will my party sit together?

We always book your party on one order and ask the hall to seat you together inside your category. If they seat you apart, tell us and we will put it right.

  • What if you cannot supply it?

You are refunded in full and immediately, whatever the date, and told that we could not supply it. There is no voucher and no substitute you did not choose.
