The room
The nave
St Stephen’s Cathedral, Stephansplatz 3, 1010 Wien
Vienna’s cathedral, the one every street in the first district eventually points at. Its Christmas music is sung under the vault it was written for.

Know before you book
- Sunday 27 December at 19:30, in the nave of St Stephen’s Cathedral.
- Seating in the nave is unreserved: the ticket admits you and you choose a pew when you arrive.
- These are tickets we bought when they were released. We hold a handful and resell them at the printed €45; our margin is zero by design.
- A cathedral in December is cold, and the concert is long. Dress for a stone building rather than for a concert hall.
Questions guests ask
Are the seats numbered?
No. Seating in the nave is unreserved — your ticket admits you and you choose a pew when you arrive. Come early if you want to be near the front.
How cold is it?
Cold. It is an unheated stone building in December and the concert runs well over an hour. A coat you can sit in beats an elegant one.
Where do these tickets come from?
We buy them when the organiser releases them, like everybody else, and we resell them at the printed price. There is no allocation and no special relationship — just a handful of tickets bought early.
What do you add to the price?
Nothing. The number on this page is the number on the ticket, our booking fee is €0.00, and the margin on these nights is zero by design.
How do I get the ticket?
It is a physical ticket with a seat printed on it. Collect it free at our office counter on Herrengasse, or have it delivered to your hotel — you choose at checkout.
What happens when they are gone?
The night says so. We had a handful, and when the last one goes the page states it plainly rather than pretending there might be more.
