Deutschordenshaus

The house of the Teutonic Order behind St Stephen’s, built out from the twelfth century onwards. Mozart lodged here in the Archbishop of Salzburg’s retinue from March 1781 and played in its ground-floor hall on the day he arrived; the Order still owns the house and its church.
