Know before you book

  • Groups are capped at ten, because that is what the cellar stair holds. These are our own walks, so the places really are counted.
  • Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:00. Two hours.
  • The price includes the licensed guide and entry to every courtyard and cellar on the route.
  • There are steps and small doors throughout; this is not a route for a stroller or a wheelchair, and we would rather say so here.

Questions guests ask

  • What is included in the €32?

The licensed guide and entry to every courtyard and cellar on the route. Our booking fee is €0.00.

  • Is this route accessible?

No. There are steps and small doors throughout, and a baroque cellar three floors down. The daily First District walk manages a stroller and a wheelchair; this one does not.

  • Why is the group capped at ten?

Because that is what the cellar stair holds. It is the size of a staircase, not a sales tactic, and it never changes.

  • Who leads the walk?

One of our own guides — licensed by the city, salaried by us, and not working for tips alone. The same people lead the free walk and the specials.

  • Do walks run in bad weather?

Yes, in anything short of a storm warning. If we do cancel you hear by 08:00 with a link to rebook — at breakfast, not at the meeting point.

  • Do children pay?

Under-12s walk free on every tour, including the paid specials. They still take one of the places, so reserve for them too.

  • Can I bring a stroller?

On the daily walk, yes — the whole route manages one. On the specials, ask us first: the courtyards and cellars have steps and small doors.

  • What does it cost to book?

Our booking fee is €0.00, and we print it on your order at €0.00 rather than leaving it out.

  • Can I change the date?

Yes, free, up to 48 hours before the walk. The exact deadline is printed on your order line.
