Know before you book
- €85 per person, Saturdays at 10:30, April to November. Capped at twelve.
- A walk through the vines on the Nussberg with the winemaker, then lunch at their own table.
- Sixteen and over. Vienna’s youth-protection law puts wine and beer at 16, so there is no child fare on any of these evenings.
- Paused for the winter and back on Saturday 4 April 2027. The vines are bare and we would rather say so than sell you a walk through them.
- We hold no stock in these mornings: a date is open or it is sold out, and no number of places is ever printed.
Questions guests ask
Why can I not book the vineyard walk in December?
Because the vines are bare and the walk is not worth your €85 in January. It is paused for the winter and comes back on Saturday 4 April 2027 — the date is on this page rather than hidden behind a sold-out label.
How hard is the walk?
Uphill through vineyards for the first part, on tracks rather than paths, and then downhill to lunch. Ordinary shoes and an ordinary morning’s fitness are enough; heels are not.
Is lunch really included?
Yes — lunch at the winemaker’s own table at the end of the walk, with their wine. That is most of what the €85 is.
Is there an age limit, and can children come?
Sixteen and over on all three evenings. Vienna’s youth-protection law puts wine and beer at 16, which is why there is no child fare to print.
What does it cost to book?
Our booking fee is €0.00, and we print it on your order at €0.00 rather than leaving it out.
How do I know a date is really available?
Because we ask. We hold no stock in these evenings — the tables are the house’s — so a date is open or it is sold out, and we never print a number of places, because it would be a guess about somebody else’s room.
Can I get to a concert afterwards?
The Heuriger evening ends around nine, which leaves most concerts already started. The cellar tasting at 17:00 finishes in good time for a 19:30 curtain; tell us what you are going to and we will say plainly whether it works.

Grinzing is tram 38 from Schottentor; the cellar in the first district is a few minutes from Stephansplatz. Your booking names the exact door.
Comparing?
Everything we sell, day by day, is on what’s on; the others like it are on wine and heuriger.
